The blonde girl was a tall one, easily reaching 5 feet, 8 inches, with a more curvy build. She wasn't the lightest girl out there, but she was okay with that. Her legs were muscled from days upon days of walking (and riding on Rex's back when she got tired), her skin was tanned for much the same reason, and her clothes were . . . unsensible. To say the least. Mayla was the kind of girl whose only thoughts were for her appearances. She had rich parents and she made full use of that, wearing skirts and dresses every day that she was on the road. Due to her height, she rarely wore heels, if only because she didn't want to be taller than the guys (how embarrassing!).
Mayla, daughter of Elite Four leader Lilian Foxe and Orion Foxe, breeder, was nothing special. Yet. She had dreams of being an expert coordinator, however, and to further her goal, she had many elaborate outfits that King Rex carried loyally, and three lovely, graceful Pokemon. King Rex, her first Pokemon, a male Meganium with orange flowers was her main companion, always out of his Pokeball and at her side wherever space allowed for it, though he was barely taller than her. Then there was Prince Charming, her Gallade. He was her only battler, the only non-pacifist of her Pokemon. But he could certainly hold his own in a battle and Mayla did love how he looked when he fought. Last but not least, there was Lady Oceana, a lovely Milotic. Between the three, Mayle figured she was all but set. And whenever she stumbled across a Pokemon fitting her parameters, Prince Charming beat the living daylights out of them until she could capture it with a Pokeball, give it a fitting name, and carry on with her day.
Still, she was content with the Pokemon she had. Lady, Rex and Charming were her constant companions, though it was only Rex who was always at her side. Rex, the content and placid Meganium with his pretty orange, instead of pink, flowers, always made his way along at her side, carrying her stuff and currently, he was carrying her. It had been a long day, even though it was barely noon and Mayla's feet were aching in her shoes. At least she looked cute though; Mayla had been quite conscious of that as she was expected to reach the town where her mother's friend's son lived. Her mother had promised during their conversation days ago via Pokegear that she would like his Pokemon, at least. She made no promises about the boy himself as she knew that Mayla wasn't exactly likely to get on his good side. The spoiled, pampered and vain coordinator wasn't the easiest to get along with.
But her Pokemon, at least, loved her and neglected to see her faults. Or perhaps they saw them and loved her all the same. Mayla preferred to believe that they didn't see her flaws at all. Especially when she was all dolled up like this; her tan skin lotioned and her emerald eyes bright as she wore a flowing white dress that hung to her knees and white sandals. Her omnipresent golden locket held a picture of a young Mayla and her Chikorita, King Rex the first day that she had gotten him. He had been bred by her father, a byproduct in his attempts to consistently breed a shiny Chikorita. Mayla had looked past the surface, for once (she had never liked shiny Pokemon very much - and King Rex did have his very own mutation, an orange flower instead of the typical pink one) and ever since then, she and King Rex had been inseparable.
The Meganium made a soft noise as he came to a stop at the sidewalk that marked their entrance into the town. Mayla grinned happily, leaping down from Rex's back and patting his side as she began to walk daintily forward, loathe to get her white sandals dirty. "We're here, Rex! Let's see if we can find that house..." Mayla trailed off, frowning slightly as she tried to remember her mother's description of it from their earlier conversation. But nope, she was drawing a total blank.
Pouting, Mayla wandered up to the nearest (cute) male that had the misfortune of being out on the streets when she was, and with a flip of her hair, asked her question. "Would you happen to know where the house of . . . Riesling is?" Ooh, she bet he did. He was cute! And so was she.
Seeming to know the direction her thoughts were taking, King Rex ambled up behind his coordinator and snorted loudly. "Meganium." He rumbled warningly, fixing her with a baleful eye.
Mayla smiled fondly, rubbing the dinosaur-like Pokemon's neck lovingly as she waited for a reply. The young man stuttered a bit before gesturing her in the correct direction, and with a happy hum, Mayla and King Rex wandered off together. She stopped about a block away to fix her hair, which was still pretty much immaculate, barely a hair willing to get out of place. "Let's go, Rex." Mayla murmured softly, shaking her head and brushing her hands off on her dress, checking to make sure nothing had gotten dirty in their walk through town.
When she was assured all was okay with her appearance, Mayla took a deep breath and wandered up to the door to lightly push the door bell. The ring echoed inside and Mayla turned and glanced at King Rex, who snorted and shook his head slightly. She grinned at the Pokemon, who inclined his head and pawed at the earth.
Lady Oceana - milotic - female, peaceful, pacifist, loving, will always get involved and try to defuse conflict, very graceful, LOVES water but can handle being in the air
King Rex - meganium - male, can heal dead/injured plants, docile, peaceloving, intelligent, sweet, avoids fighting whenever possible, loves brightly colored things
(Prince) Charming - gallade - male, VERY protective of Mayla, regal, quiet, reserved, rarely shows emotions, can be quite vicious
