She was born in the Reality called World four. World Four is the world that you and I live in. The world is normal, so to say, where magic is secret and only a select few know about it and how to use it. She was one of the ones that knew about it, and was in the process of learning how to weld it.
The first thing she had learned in her class was that magic was energy jumping from world to world to make things happen that seem impossible. The second was about the worlds. The other worlds were the same, but had small changes in their histories, which resulted in different futures. There were six worlds total.
World one still had the prehistoric creatures living, walking with the humans.
In world two, Humans never evolved, and the creatures that ruled the world were interesting crosses of animals that evolved to stand on two legs.
World Three was barren and had a small population of all species and all were struggling to live.
World Four is the world that she knew so well.
World five, was almost identicle to the world she knew, but the land masses were almost all connected still as one large land.
World six was a world where the magic was the strongest and interesting animals and humans lived.
The biggest lesson she learned was about the magic flow. Magic flow would start at the world right after yours, and have to touch every world before reaching you in your world. To travel to the worlds took so much magic, that a person with the gift would be "magicless" for up to three months before they could use magic again. TO make things worse, to get back to your own world, you would have to travel to each world.
She had mastered the basic magic skills, and had memorized all of these lessons when she was learning how to channel life. Channeling life is a healing method that is quite difficult. That was when she messed up.
She felt herself pull and twist, and lights danced around her as she left her own world and skipped forward a world.
At first, she didn't know she had skipped a world. She was just confused. She was in the same building, but it looked abandoned and destroyed. She left the building and found a large bustling city, all centered around what she came to find out was the Military base.
That first night, she ran into a familiar face. Her gay best friend, Serge, except it wasn't the Serge that she grew up with.
"Serge!" She said happily as she approched the man in a military uniform. She frowned. She was confused. Serge always wanted to be an actor like his dad, not a military man... So why was he in a military uniform.
Serge looked confused.
"It's me... Alicia," She said. Serge looked her over.
"I know who you are... we went to school... but... I thought you hated me?" He said. That was when it clicked. She really had jumped worlds...
It had been a few weeks, and Alicia's magic was still gone. She had been living with Serge. She had explained everything to Serge, and lucky for her, the young man was still as forgiving as the one that she knew. Yet, he was still a little different. She Serge she knew was a shy, quiet (until you got to know him that is) gay guy that always wanted to follow his dad's footsteps. This Serge, well, was still quiet and shy until you got him comfortable. The thing that bothered her was his determination to finish his term in the military.
"Serge, why do you stay in the military?" She asked him as they walked through the park.
Serge, for once, wasn't in his uniform, but was in his "Day off" clothing as he walked with his hands in his pockets.
"If I finish my term, then I will have enough money to pay for my schooling. I want to go to the acting school that my dad went to," he said and Alicia smiled. There it was. There was some of the Serge she knew from her world.
Serge pushed his brunette-Blonde hair from his face and flexed his square-jaw. Alicia snickered slightly and looked back at the trees that they were facing.
"Alicia, you think there are other people, ones that we could be looking at right now, that are world jumpers too?" He asked as he looked back at her. His blue-Green eyes glistened with curiosity as Alicia started to giggle slightly. He was so adorable, but she just couldn't get the thoughts of him being gay out of her mind... not that this Serge was gay.
"Why you giggling?" He asked with a slight frown. He still couldn't really understand this Alicia. The Alicia that he went to school with was skittish, jumpy, shy and snappy. But this one was... well she was still skittish and snappy, but she was also kind and sweet. She treated him well.
"No reason. Sorry. But theres a possibility, but World Jumping is hard." She flopped back into the grass.
"Do you want to go back to your world?" He asked as he poked her in the side. She flinched and giggled slightly and rolled onto her side to look at her best friend... Well, she still considered him her best friend, so...
"Actually, I think I want to become a Professional World Jumper. I want to see the worlds where I would be an animal. That would be fun. I wonder what animal I would be... And in World Six, if I would be a friend of a Dragon or if I would end up being an elf," She smiled and beamed at the thoughts.
Serge smiled slightly and flopped back as well.
"I think you would be some spunky but adorable and loyal animal. And I bet the dragons would love you," He said as he started to play with a blade of grass.
Alicia smiled, and started to think to herself. She had to find out what she had done to World jump, but first, she had to get her magic stream flowing again...
