It wasn't that long ago that Moon and Reyanne were fending off an attacker. They defeated him. Well, more accurately, Moon took him down easily. He was a far better fighter than Reyanne was. Sure, she knew the moves (he'd taught her, of course), but she still couldn't bring herself to attack another wolf. She'd paid for that with pain, but Moon had taken the wolf down so it wasn't that much of a big deal, was it? In the end, everything had worked out.
They'd been wandering for a while now, but Reyanne wasn't complaining about their aimless walking. She quite honestly had enjoyed every moment that she had spent in Moon's company from the moment that he saved her from starvation in the snow. He had done enough for her that she wasn't sure she would ever be able to repay him. But at least he didn't seem to want to leave her behind any time soon.
Flicking her tail, Reyanne glanced up at Moon, noting for the thousandth time that there was a huge size difference between the pair. It wasn't anything new, but it still impressed Reyanne that a wolf could be so monstrously large. He was massive. It wasn't fair. Reyanne wished she could be bigger, but ah well. Que sera, sera. "So... do you know where we're going now?" Reyanne asked curiously, her ears pricked in Moon's direction.
She was simply curious, not too worried. Even if they were just trying to put as much distance between themselves and that rather scary wolf, Reyanne didn't mind. It was fine as long as she got to stick around with him, to tell the truth. It was far too fun anyways, and Moon wasn't half bad company. Well, as long as he wasn't mauling any wolves. That had been pretty scary. Reyanne was still fairly shaken by the incident.
But it didn't really even matter, did it? It was in the past. Moon seemed to have moved on, outwardly, at least, so she probably should as well. Her white tail flicked as she wandered to a stop, her head tilting slightly to the side as she closed her eyes and listened. There was water nearby. It distracted her for a moment, but then she opened her eyes and looked at Moon again, humming softly to herself.

Moon's massive paws carried him silently as he led the way. His head was held slightly low, making his back perfectly straight as he moved, and his pelt wave with every step he made. His silvery eyes were dancing from one spot to the next, just making sure nothing was lurking in the shadows. It was nothing out of the ordinary for him, but now he seemed a bit more alert, now that he had another with him. Moon shifted his head over his shoulders and looked at the significantlly smaller, white female behind him. Her blue eye were bright and made him feel like snakes were in his gut. It was an odd feeling for the large male, and it made him almost uncomfortable. That is, until Reyanne spoke again.
Moon raised his head slightly and looked at Reyanne again, his finned tail flicking to the side ever so slightly. "Yes, and no. One cannot know where they are going at all times to get to their destination, dear Reyanne," He said smoothly as he let a flicker of amusement dance on his features. He enjoyed giving her odd sayings that his mother had told him, to see if she understood them at all. Granted, it took him years understand them, so he truthfully was going to be surprised if she did get them faster than he did. Not that he was being egotistical. He was far from that, but still.
"Rumors say that my sister is just over those mountains," He wagged his tail, then continued on with a happy little flicker of his head.
